Welcome to the downloads page, where I've included downloads to various rule sets for Table Soccer. Including some original 50's 60's and 70's Subbuteo rules. I've also included my Bonfire Alliance League and Match Rulebook which is my attempt at formulating solo rules based mainly on the former.
There is also a download link below to the FISTF, and WASPA rules, which many of tournaments are played in the modern era, as well as a download of the Old Subbuteo Rules which is very big in Italy.
I've also included the Westford Solo Rules System as discussed in the July 2023 post. 
 
Every download is in PDF format, and should open into your browser. Any navigation links in the PDF's will only work once downloaded.  
 
These are the rules that I currently use. Please feel free to use in any way you see fit.

The Burnley Club has allowed me to make their rules available for download. A very concise set that covers the older rules in great detail.
 
An Italian community who play "Old Style" to these rules with old style player types, they organise Tournaments in Italy, it is also played here in the UK. From what I can make out it's nowhere nears as big as it is in Italy though. They have a Forum  https://oldsubbuteo.forumfree.it/
It's mainly in Italian, but does have an English section. They also have a Facebook group just search Old Subbuteo.

Solo Subbuteo is a very broad church, it is full of different methods, ideas, and is solely dependent upon an individual’s perceptions, aims, and goals. You can’t teach the solo game as such, or give out a definitive set of rules, you can only offer advice from one’s own experience and ideals. I’ve even offered my own rules since I began this blog, to give an idea of my own thought process. They are in no way an authoritative set, and can be found on the downloads page of this blog. They are simply the set I use, and show how I go about my business, if you have a need, please feel free to use them in any way you see fit. Foul Play

Recently I had an email exchange with a fellow solo player, mainly about different rules that we use, it was surprising just how similar our own particular methods were but we were in total disagreement about fouls on the field of play. He insisted that a foul was only committed if an attacker struck an opponent and then went on to hit the ball, and if it struck an opponent without striking the ball, all that happened was a change of possession. From my point of view that’s not my interpretation or never has been. So I asked the obvious question how he had come this assumption of foul play? “Because it’s in the rules” was his reply. Now bear in mind this particular player is in his late 40’s and bases his knowledge of the game on the 80’s rules, which as a rule-set I must admit I’ve never seen let alone read. Breaking The Mould

  I’m probably a kind of traditionalist when it comes to Subbuteo, especially when it comes to equipment and rules. We probably all have our favourite player types, and would rather play to rules from a certain era of their evolution. For me that was and still is the late 60’s until the early 80’s. There were 3 main player types each requiring their own particular technique to play to the generally accepted rules of that time. Box set rules at the beginning of that era differed to the competitive scene, but by the end of it they more or less mirrored each other.
